All these schools follow the General Certificate of Education (GCE) syllabus. These come under the supervision of two different boards: (1) The University of Cambridge (UK), and (2) Edexcel. The GCE certification program (UK-based) one of the internationally approved educational qualification. The two types of programmes, that is, Ordinary level (O level) and Advanced level (A level) are equivalent of SSC and HSC certification programs under the Bangaladesh National Board of Education. Under this educational module, examinations take place twice a year. These examinations are directly supervised by the British Council. Students who are not attached to regulars schools also eligible for registering with the British Council in order to sit for yearly examinations.
